Jack C. Mauer, Montana Fly Fishing Outfitter #867, has more than a 30 year investment in fishing, floating and wading the waters of western Montana. He is intimately acquainted with
the surrounding fisheries and their corresponding ecologies. It is his
passion and enthusiasm for the art of fly fishing, a respect and knowledge of trout
habitat, and the ability to expertly instruct the technical aspects of
fly fishing that clients appreciate as they return to western Montana
and Wapiti Waters.
Statement of Purpose
Wapiti Waters Outfitters is always looking for new anglers to experience world class trout fisheries with world class guides. We connect the fishermen with the resource. Our attributes go far beyond the ownership of an outfitters license and equipment. We have the teacher’s love of sharing our knowledge and experience and the joy of sharing good times on the river with our guests.
Our pledge: It is our pleasure serving you with our accumulated experience and talent and providing you with a fishing experience unique to Wapiti Waters.
We take great pride in matching quality fly fishing guides with clients and in showing customers our favorite rivers and reaches. We can teach the novice sound fundamentals of fly fishing and show the experienced angler the most interesting trout habitat in western Montana. We love to have a good time with our flyfishers.
Thank you to everyone who fishes with us. Every year keeps getting better. 2012 is shaping up better than 2011 even though it looks like the spring high-water event will be long. Wapiti Waters will be honest about conditions. If the water is blowing out with spring run-off, we will tell you about it and exactly what your options are. Honesty is our best policy.
We are already booking for 2012 so if you have specific dates you need, call soon to get them on our calendar.
In any month, if Jack is booked, we can call one of the great guides we work with...so come to western Montana and fish this season.
Plan your next Montana fly fishing trip soon with Wapiti Waters.
